Emma, born and raised in Calgary, graduated with a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta. During her schooling, Emma discovered a passion for working with paediatric populations through multiple experiences at the Alberta Children’s Hospital. Shortly after graduation she began working with paediatric special-needs children, and families, in a school setting. Since finishing her Masters, Emma has also pursued professional development in trauma-informed practice, working with children with hypotonia, neuro-muscular electrical stimulation, and the specialized handling technique of Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI). In her personal life, Emma is a semi-professional Ukrainian dancer who has had opportunities to travel both within Canada and across the world. She believes in living by example, and can often be found either in the gym or participating in activities such as yoga, cycling, and hiking.
