Luiza was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and graduated in 2015 with a Bachelor degree in Physical therapy from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and completed her specialization in Pediatrics in 2018. Over the past 6 years, she has worked with children with developmental disabilities and respiratory conditions, mainly in hospitals, within pediatric and neonatal intensive care units and Neuro pediatric clinics. Now established in Calgary, Luiza started volunteering with us and then joined our team as a part-time Therapy Assistant. She is passionate about working with children and helping them reach their best potential through a playful and joyful environment. She also believes that it’s very enriching to work in a multi-disciplinary team as it makes every day a new learning experience. In her spare time, Luiza loves hiking, traveling and enjoy outdoors with her husband and friends.
